Ope!’s Latest Zine Is An Other-Worldly Coloring Book

The zine is the second publication of Ope!’s to highlight Chase Gentry’s wonderful, imaginative art (Instagram: @chasegentry54 – his previous zine is called “Destiny’s Shorts/Doom’s Pantaloons”).

Crafted as the field notebook of Professor Billiam Deer as he explores an unknown planet, the reader follows Deer’s exploration via journal entries and his drawings from the field. Pack your crayons, because this one is delightfully alien.

Copies of the zine can be purchased on their Etsy shop (opepublishing), as well as at Pearl Street Books and Gallery La Crosse Artists Cooperative. In the next few weeks, they’ll also be available at Chapter 2 Books in Winona, Arcadia Books in Spring Green, and The Village Booksmith in Baraboo. Check Ope!’s website for additional outlets as they become available.

Ope! Publishing is a small publishing house run by two women hell-bent on creating art, discourse, and culture in La Crosse. Visit their webpage—ope.pub—to learn more.
