Welcome to the La Crosse Independent, a newly-launched source for news and analysis for La Crosse and the wider Coulee Region. We are nonprofit, volunteer-run, and making this up as we go along.
Our plan is to report on and analyze local government, politics, labor and environmental issues, and dip into local arts and culture. We hope to play a part in reinvigorating our local democracy, and giving voice to working class perspectives that too often are silenced.
